"Chargesheet copies arrive in Kanchipuram - To be Given Tomorrow to Accused."
Kanchipuram March 30: Under tight security, the chargesheet copies in the Kanchipuram temple manager Sankarraman murder case were brought from Chengelpet to Kanchipuram on Tuesday.
In connection with this murder, 25 people including Jayendrar [Swamigal] and Vijayendrar [Swamigal] have been arrested. Last Jan 21st, an 1873 page chargesheet was filed in Kanchipuram Court. Kanchipuram Magistrate G Uttamaraaj has been engaged in the work of reviewing [okaying] the chargesheet. It is necessary to give chargesheet copies to all the accused.
As there were not the facilities to take copies of the chargesheet in the Kanchipuram court, the work was taken up under the charge of the Chenglpet Criminal Justice Department.
More than 20 judicial employees undertook the work of copying the chargesheet for about a week. A total of 70 thousand pages were prepared.
